Former ALICE IN CHAINS Guitarist Recording 'Amazing' New Music
March 25, 2005Former ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell is currently recording new music at Doug Fieger's studio in Los Angeles. He is joined in the studio by Chris Wyse on bass and Stephen Perkins on drums (both ex-JANE'S ADDICTION). Cantrell's new tunes are said to be sounding "amazing," with one track reportedly featuring Doug Fieger on slide guitar.
In other news, Cantrell will be presenting and performing at the MusiCares/MAP Fund benefit concert honoring Dave Navarro and Goldenvoice on May 20 at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Hollywood, California. Playing along with Cantrell will be Navarro, Perkins and Wyse.
Also on the Cantrell front, look for Jerry to make an appearance playing poker at Patrick Warburton's house on E!'s "Hollywood Hold 'Em" on April 14. More information is available at EOnline.com.
